Macbeth was a Scottish general who was loyal to Duncan, the Scottish Terrier who was the king. But after Macbeth met three witches who prophesied that Macbeth would be king, Macbeth was no longer satisfied to remain loyal to Duncan.

Macbeth and his wife hatched a plot to kill the king in his palace and frame the king’s bulldog guards for the murder. Although Macbeth had misgivings about killing the king, his wife convinced him that it was the right thing to do. After all, she said, “No dog should be king over you”.

Macbeth then killed the king with his wife’s help, but in the following days whenever he entered one of the palace rooms, all the other palace dogs began to growl and bark at him. His guilt grew with every accusing look and every snarl from the palace dogs. He soon started feeling very remorseful about killing Duncan. Read More…
